All Terrain Training is an ongoing performance series oriented towards expanding athleticism beyond convention and competition.

Investigating the intersection of art and sport, ATT offers a new perspective on athletic identity, performance processes, and the potential of training as an art form. With a core company, brand collaborations, and movement workshops, the hybrid world of All Terrain Training evolves through people and places.

Premiering in 2020, ATT’s first study took the form of a live exhibition, presenting a performance that allowed audiences to engage with a deeply concentrated, non-competitive, physical simulation. Viewers shared the space with 7-9 dancers tasked with maintaining engaged contact for 2-3 hours. This shift-taking movement exercise created suspended tension, inspired by and accompanied by collected sounds of Arctic glaciers and tectonic tremors.

In 2024, ATT launched its second study, “Parasound,” a sequential performance balancing function with fantasy. Reimagining the functionality of climbing equipment, performers navigate balance through harnesses and carabiners. The group of bodies in space acts as a collective instrument, amplifying tension through violin bows on the ropes that hold them together.
